On 9 November 2017, Transneft and KazTransOil signed a cooperation memo. Transneft President Nikolay Tokarev and Director General and Board Chairman of KazTransOil Dimash Dosanov put their signatures. The signing ceremony with participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbaev took place on the sidelines of the XIV Russia and Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum in the city of Chelyabinsk.

The memo’s subject is cooperation in potential supplies of pumps and pumping equipment, electric drives, bottom sediment cleaning devices, electric motors and other equipment manufactured at plants and central production service shops of Transneft for the needs of KazTransOil.

The signees will build their collaboration on the principles of equality, openness and integrity. The signing will further strengthen bilateral relations between Transneft and KazTransOil and fill the cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan with a specific content.

As part of the ongoing forum, its participants familiarized themselves with the exposition of Transneft demonstrating cutting-edge specimens of equipment manufactured by Transneft entities, including the pumping equipment manufactured by the Chelyabinsk plant of Transneft Oil Pumps, the Oil Quantity & Quality Metering System (OQQMS) manufactured by the Transneftemash Factory of Velikiye Luki, as well as the flagship of the in-line inspection tools line-up – a combined magnetic-ultrasonic defectoscope developed by Transneft Diascan.

Vice presidents of Transneft Pavel Revel-Muroz and Aleksey Sapsay took part in the events of the forum’s business program.

The forum is held on the venue of Russian Electric Motors co-founded in 2015 by Transneft and KONAR, with participation of the Italian partners. Up to 300 high-voltage electric motors will be annually manufactured here from parts and units made in Russia.
