Transneft and Algerian Sonatrach sign a cooperation memorandum

Transneft and Algerian national company Sonatrach signed a cooperation memorandum in the area of hydrocarbon exploration, extraction, transportation, refinement and sale.

The document was signed during the meeting of Russian Prime-Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Prime-Minister of Algeria Ahmed Ouyahia.

The document anticipates collaboration in the area of nondestructive control and enhancing the safety of the pipeline infrastructure operation.

Sonatrach is engaged in exploration, extraction, transportation, refining and sale of natural gas and crude oil. The company exploits over 20,000 km of trunk pipelines and owns petrochemical production facilities, water desalination plants, 4 gas liquefaction plants and 5 refineries.
