The finals and awarding the winners of the contest for best socially oriented oil and gas company in 2017 took place on 6 October, as part of the VII St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (Russian Energy Week).
The contest committee that gathered representatives of the Russian Ministry of Energy, Veterans Council and Youth Council of the oil and gas industry under the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation decided to award Transneft the diploma of “Best socially oriented company in the oil and gas industry” as well as a special sign of honor.
The contest committee mentioned the achievements of Transneft in the development of labor and personal potential of employees as well as their motivation. Transneft was awarded the diploma “For consistency in its manpower and engineering personnel recruitment, training and development policies” as well as the diploma “For efficient personnel motivation and loyalty enhancement.”
During the ceremony, Director of the Department of Public Service Management and Mobilization Preparation at the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Smirnov mentioned the importance of solving social tasks, improving the working and living standards of employees and high relevance of the social policy pursued by fuel and energy companies. He also underlined that the finals were preceded by a huge amount of work done, whereas the contest is an instrument for effective identification, examination and propagation of the experience gained by socially active and responsible companies, and building the image of the Russian fuel and energy complex.
